UPCOMING EVENTS:
Parent and Youth Worker Meeting: This Sunday, August 17, here will be a parent and youth worker meeting in the chapel at 5 p.m. We will be discussing the calendar for the fall semester, important events, and what is going on in the youth group. If you are a youth worker or a parent of a teen, please come out as we continue to strive for a youth program that better glorifies God.
Standing Strong Cookout/Canoeing Activity: The Standing Strong class will be having a cookout/canoeing activity this Saturday, August 23, at FellowsLake. Please meet at the church at 9:00 a.m., and we will return after lunch.
Kid's Quest Send-Off Activity: Next Saturday, August 23, the 6th graders will be going to Lighthouse Lanes and Braum's for a little send-off party as they will be promoted to Jr. high. We will be leaving the church at 4:00 p.m. and returning at 8:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Rick or Leona Busse.
Men's Basketball: Next Sunday, August 24, after the evening service, we will be having our bi-weekly men's open basketball. We encourage more men to come out after the evening service. This is for all men from Jr. High and up. This is one great way of enjoying the fellowship of other men.
T.E.A.M. OUTREACH: Come join us for T.E.A.M. Outreach Tuesday, August 26 at 6 p.m. There will be childcare available up to age 10 (sign up at the N. lobby table). There will be a variety of outreach opportunities. Will will meet in the Fellowship class.
Jr. high and H.S. Class: This Wednesday, August 20, the Jr. High and H.S. class will resume their Wednesday night meetings. This will begin at 6:30 p.m. Plan to come for a new and exciting year!
Special Prayer Request: Remember to pray for our Christian school, public school, and homeschool teachers and for our students as they begin the 2008-2009 school year.
